SCHS EDUCATION PROGRAM

 

     The Historic Ritchie house and the Cox Communications Heritage Education Center is a  unique resource available to students and teachers for conveying awareness of the rich Kansas history which defines our community and state.

 

     The historic 1856 home that once belonged to John Ritchie and his wife, Mary Jane, is an anchor in which students can experience the life and times of our early settlers during the arduous Territorial days of Kansas. 

 

     The Ritchie House staff strives to be a resource for schools, offering students school field trips, a summer History Camp for Kids and online resources for students and teachers
